I wanted to leave because I craved something new. Something or someone that would chew me up and spit me out, just so I could feel something again.
Tonight, my boyfriend and I broke up. We were perfect together, bringing out each other’s nerdy side. However, it just isn’t the right time. We are in different places in our lives. He’s a lover, I’m a runner with a gypsy soul.
Maybe when I settle down and I am not afraid to stay in one place, shall we be together again. Until then, I enjoy his friendship and company.
I have been getting a lot of questions about my internship with Seventeen magazine. This past summer, I got a scholarship for the Love & Relationships section of the magazine (which I find to be too fitting considering I love everything about relationships good and bad.) The reason why I did not take it is because I would have had to move to NYC after I graduated, which was before my deployed to Afghanistan. Spending time with my dad for another week before he left for war for an entire year was more important to me. NYC will always be there, so will Seventeen.

Colorado Wildfires
Hi everyone-
I just wanted to make a quick note about what has been going on with me personally. The majority of my family lives in Colorado and while I travel in between states I go to school at Colorado State University. When the Larimer County fire broke out I decided to “evacuate” to my parents home in Colorado Springs. Now, the Waldo County fire has threatened our home along with many of our friends home and some family members.
I don’t know what each of you all believe in spiritually, but whoever you talk to for answers if you could please just keep everyone in Colorado in your thoughts I know we would all appriciate it.
UPDATE: It looks like my family and I will be evacuating sometime by the end of the week at the rate of the fire, if it does not become more contained.
